Theo Alexandridis is a friend, guide, and advocate for Prokopis Nikolau and his family.  He teaches Prokopis to be aware of his rights as a citizen, and helps him fight for subsidies that were agreed to in a contract signed by the mayor.  While in law school, Theo works for the Greek Helsinki Monitor , a Greek non-governmental organization that monitors Greece's compliance with the Helsinki Accords, which state that "The participating states will respect fully human rights and fundamental freedoms, including the freedom of thought, conscience, religion or belief, for all without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion." Theo focuses on the rights of Greece's Roma population, working closely with several Roma communities around Athens.
